you can still buy new, ta22 clutch master cylinders from auto pro and they should fit easy with some mods to the fire wall and clutch lever, all you will need then is brake line to plum it up

go buy a new ta22 one,
there are dimples in the fire wall where u drill out holes for the bolts
and use a small hole saw to cut out the center hole
its all easy till u get to working out the pedal
i have a ta22 top half with a ke30 pedal welded on half way down
if u need any help just ask and ill go look at mine

So what do i get if i buy all this stuff...
How much and would it be to convert from cable to hydro?
If i got the pedal box, lines and master and slave cylinder from the Ae71(where im getting the box from) wouldnt this make the whole system into hydro? Or would this still be converting it from cable...
Someone once said its bad to convert should replace components.
Have you had any trouble Josh or anyone at all had trouble when doing this?
Thanx,
Adam
(PS) anything else im forgetting?

I would doubt a ae71 pedal box would fit a ke30 body shell they are a completely new model - but you never know what will work until you try it. I used a clutch master cyl and lines from an ae86 on my ke70 when i swapped to the t-50.

the ta22 and ke55 pedal boxes are different (found that out) - ke30 one might be the same as ta22 so might be less of an issue.
at worst remove the clutch pedal assy from the side of the pedal box and weld it to the ke30's - easy

I did mine last week, not too hard and didn't cost me a cent. I used the original ke55 clutch pedal, drilled a hole in it for the lever to go through, and made a custom lever to clear the pedal box. Nothing TOO hard really, now my only problem is that the 2T-C is even more gutless than the 4k it replaced!

have to almost be the best (strongest) engine ever made!!!

It wasn't that my 4K had completely died - it was just the lack of balls, the bearing noise and the oil consumption that inspired me, plus the fact that I was about to take the TA22 to the crusher anyway (an ex paddock car that had been set on fire just too many times!). The whole reason a 4K won't die certainly ain't because its a strong engine - take a look at the rods, crank, etc! However, the extreme lack of balls means there just isn't enough stress on anything to make it fall over - seems to be a trait with a lot of the more pedestrian toyota engines. Likewise geminis, datsuns, etc. - the kind of treatment that I and many others have given to these cars is seriously unthinkable, yet they will always sit up and ask for more. Half the fun is trying to overcome the lack of balls with brutal treatment and still not breaking anything!

Hey,
So do you all recommend to buy a slave, master cylinders and the hydrolic lines brand new?
And use the standard pedal box...
Thanx,
Adam
