4ke setup on 3k compared to 4k Sun, 25 September 2005 11:09 Go to next message
hey every1, i did a search, found nothing on comparisons. i got a 3k and i just purchased a complete 4ke injection setup, my 3k has a 2.5" exhaust and extractors, and the bigport head, i was thinking about getting a new cam, and putting the 4ke setup on, but i was thinking why not get a 4k and do the same, with this sort of setup will i see that much more power from the 4k compared to the 3k?

cheers

a bit.. more compression, less than 10% more capacity..

should have more torque. if you have to rebuild the 3K anyway, just get a 4K, 40 or 60thou oversize ACL pistons.. all good.

2.5" seems a bit excessive Razz

heh heh, they look a little bodgy, but at leat the primaries are fairly well matched in length..

the collector doesn't look like 2.5"diameter tho... or is it????

what are pipe outside diameters for primary/secondary/collector?

at least you can cut them pipes off the flange plate and start again Razz

shame ya not in melb id take it off ya

oi ke20 man leave the 3k unless its in need of a rebuild i would worry so much about the power loss between the 3k and 4k
