There could be a whole multitude of different thickness shims to get the correct clearance at each cam lobe, and you are gonna have a hell of a fun time working them out Laughing

the tolerence for the exhaust will be different from the
inlet, but there is not only two sizes, due to wear
that occurs in and about the cam lobes, bucket's, shims
and valve stem you may need 16 different sizes,

do you have a tool to measure shim thickness?

find out what the vavle clearence is supposed to be!

If the clearance's were right before you should be able to get them right now without getting new shims.
just put them in anywhere and measure the gaps on each valve wright them down then workout which sims you need to put wear so you get the right clearance's.
Its a pain but you will never mix up shims again Wink
