Can anyone help me in trying to remove the warning chimes in my st165 gt4 celica. Does anyone know someone else that has imported one of these cars that may be able to help? It really is an annoying sound to listen to constantly when travelling more than 100km/h. Any advice would be greatly appreciated....

Hmmmm...you got me. Do you have roof racks
ps. I'm in Koh Samui right now nursing a sore backside. I stacked my moped in the rain and layed it down only to follow it into the ditch and land on the read footpeg, which stuck into my right buttcheeck and snapped off. Oh well, there goes scuba diving in Koh Toa.

Probably the onyl thing yuo can do is rip your dash apart looking for the buzzer which is making the sounds. Then either cover it up, or damage/rip it out.

I have a similar problem with my soarer.
There is a door open chime that goes "bing bing bing bing" etc.
when ever the keys are in the ignition with the door ajar which sucks if you want listen to the car radio while working on the car.
Anyway, can't find the speaker but have found a cable from the ignition which detects when the key is inserted.....
If you disconnect this cable though, other things like the warning beeps (for things like brake failure) stop working too.
What I may do is put a switch in so that when you want to listen to the radio with the door open you can cut the circuit.
I recently removed the reverse beeper off my soarer which was a little thing on the circuit board of the Digital Dash. If your GT4 has a digital dash you may find that the is hidden in there as well.
I know when I'm in reverse.... don't need no stinkin beeper to tell me! Just as I'm sure you know when your going faster than 100km/h!
Good Luck in your quest peacefull cruising
