in relation to supply and demand, takumi tax can be incurred on any merchandice that is available easily in japan when compared with its availability in australia,
i take it that most T50's come off imported engines, hence some people carge more(takumi tax) than what a product is worth because of its takumability factor.

Nup. Takumi tax is added to anything that refers to anything AE86  . Just a way of saying "put all the prices up because there is a cartoon about this car"
(ie. stock sprinters that are worth about $2000 or less go for $4000)
Takumi = Main character of Initial D
By the way I understand that AE86's are rare these days and the price is upped a bit due to that, but T50s are not (They come out of AE71s too) and adding Takumi tax to T50s is bad.
