if you want to know the length of the shaft so you can see if it will fit your te72 I doubt it will fit. I tried to use an ae71 shaft when I put a 4ag/t50 into my ke70 - it didnt fit because the ae71 came out with a borg warner diff and my ke70 had a japanese s series diff - the flanges are different as is the length of diff pinion shaft. your te72 has a t series doesnt it? so it isnt compatable.
BUT!!! there is a solution You could try using the front section of a 2 piece AE71 tailshaft and match it with the rear half of a T18 tailshaft which will mate to a T series diff...if you do a bit more investigation into T series diff centres you will find the happy answer
