3s-gte relocating alternator. Wed, 28 September 2005 11:44 Go to next message
I need help in relocating my alternator.
I'm placing a 3s-gte in my rwd TE37. I'm having some clearance problems for my turbo because the alternator is in the way.
Is there any not so costly solutions in relocating the alternator form exhsaust side to intake side? I know the 3rd gen 3sgte's alternator is in the intake side. But is there another way, since it is hard to find 3rd gen parts. Or does anyone have the part# for it?

Grab all the mounts off an MR2, it mounts the alternator on the otherside of the engine.

Also be careful to get the alternator as well as the mount, as the hole spacing is different.
