been looking around for stickies, articles and searching but cant seem to find the info im looking for

anyone know where i can get information on toyotas, stuff like all the models, what year, and what engine they came with etc hopefully specs too, front sump, rear, gearboxes

does anyone know any good sites maybe? with lots of technical info

has anyone ever compiled any info like this?

with the number of conversions going on im sure there would be a sticky or something on this

Do you have a project for school or something, anyway here is a site for specs on more toyotas than you can poke a stick at Wink .

http://www.alljapanesecars.com/toyota.htm

also what exact cars do you want to know about?, most people here know a lot about all toyota specs Very Happy .

been thinking heaps about an engine conversion and wanted to find info on which engines came with which cars, differences in the engines and model designations etc

specifically what cars came with the 1jz. its so much easier searching thru toymods when u can look up for instance, jza70 as opposed to just "supra"

information is all over the place (that is the nature of the beast known as the forum) so i was hoping there was somewhere that all the information had been slowly compiled over the years and stickied or something. im sure its been gone over plenty of times

also would like information on the corona i currently have, an 81 4dr xt130. also its an XX. not sure exactly, but are they less common?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_JZ_engine

That's specifically the JZ Engines.

If you want to check out all of them:

Wink

Edit: This looks pretty informative http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/9975/dataBy Subject/Engine.html

The sheer number of Toyota engines and their variants would make such a thread unmanageable. There's too much information to summarise it all in one place.

And no, the JZ engines were never used in 4WD's.

aristo and chaser and crown have a JZ AWD (auto trans) variant dont they?

EDIT: i also agree with norbs tho, theres no way to summarise all of that information for you, frankly i got the impression that your expecting us to do all of your research for you. that just isnt cricket.

hmm so there were no manual trans awd jzs?

rob_RA40
lol no summarising the info would be stupid
i was thinking of making a sticky with links to other threads with relevant information

no didnt expect anyone to do it for me, i was going to do it myself, just hard to find the information

ive already starting compiling the info ive been going thru and the couple that have been given me

the first thread that im hoping to get stickied are toyota car specs info and model chassis codes, engine codes types specs etc and put into a easy to search thru thread. they are mostly links to other sites and threads

im hoping to make more on the more popular conversions too

once the first one is substantial enough ill post it and people can add to it

should be awesome Smile

scuse any poor spelling, havent gone thru it, way too much to read Wink
