If you have done nothing to increase airflow into the engine (ie cams/porting/exhaust/turbo - cold air intake will do SFA) then you will gain nothing by doing this. It will just make the engine run a bit rich.
That said the blue 4AGE injectors would be the go - same plug, same impedence, same operating pressure. To fit them you will need to get to the injector rail....to get to this you may need to separate the top half of the intake manifold from the bottom half. Order the manifold gasket now - it may have to come from Japan. I think the 6MGE gasket might be different to the 5MGE.

Late 5M-GE's have the same manifold as 6M-GE's, but early ones are different. Who needs a gasket though? A tube of blue gunk works fine for me. Smile

Norbie, I mean the gasket between the two halves of the intake manifold - I'm almost 100% certain the 6MGE has bigger runners.

But point taken, who needs gaskets when you have gasket in a tube!!!! Razz

Yes, the 6M-GE has runners with a D-shape cross-section, but the later 5M-GE's apparently have these as well. Early 5M-GE's have normal O-shaped runners.

so you dont reckon running them will be any good?
even tho both the 6m runs the 5m's 182's??

all i have done is an exhaust, and i dont plan on doing anything else ever.

i was just looking at these coz they are coming up cheap

CS, I'd suggest you whack the thing on a dyno and see if it is actually running lean. A mate put a 6MGE in a MA45 and ran it on a 5ME ECU, and it was actually running a tad rich. It may be that the AF ratios can be adjusted merely by playing with the AFM spring tension.

So you've just changed the exhaust? There's no reason whatsoever to change your injectors then; as GT suggested it will just screw up the mixtures and make your car run like crap. If the mixtures do need fine-tuning this can be done on a chassis dyno by adjusting the spring tension in the airflow meter.

ok then
cheers guys
i wont worry aobut the 210's then
i'm pretty sure the mixture is safe, and maybe a tad rich
so i'll just leave it as it is

dont necessarily have to be at opposite ends, just something where they dont point outwards.

preferably outlet on either side, both pointing towards the engine... someone find me one! Razz
