Oki..im a newby..and dont understand much but im looking into it.. Fact - i am poor and looking at absolute minimum budget... For - 4age rwd Question(s) - what is the difference between an aftermarket ecu [like ems, microtech] and an Apexi SAFC? Is there a specific Apexi SAFC for every car? Or is it all the same just a different harness? How much for a harness to suite for either unit? How much power gain is expected from either of the above? And finally..price..i see some Apexi units going for like 300 or so and the ems, microtech etc going for abit more then double... How much would it cost for a tune for either units? you really need about $2500 for an aftermarket ecu installed and tuned you can do it for less but thats what you should budget atleast. [Report message to a moderator]

just thort id wanna extract out abit more power... the engine has been completely rebuilt from bottom end to top with nice stronger internals...and few diff parts here and there... apexi is a fuel only piggy back ecu (safc) only good for tuning with either wild cams or turbos and adjustable fpr's. [Report message to a moderator]
