i have been told those air fuel ratio meters need to run off an aftermarket computer or u need to buy something else to make them work properly!!.. I also have been told that they are not too accurate. Best option would to ring some one up like rocket industries or advant. good luck

Those A/F meters do have some use, but running off a standard narrow band oxy sensor, aren't that accurate too far from 14.7:1.
A proper wide band sensor/meter is much better, and costs accordingly too

What colour wires do you have coming out of the O2 sensor?
I recently investigated this with a toyota 4 wire sensor (2 black, 1 blue & 1 white) & it turned out the 2 black are for the heating part of it, one to +ve one to -ve, either way 'round.
The blue & white ones are the signal wires, the blue being the +ve & white being -ve, but I worked it out really easily with a multi meter. The white wire is earthed to the outer case of the sensor, so I let my powers of deduction lead me to my answer.
This'd be a good way to check your wires.

i use a digital voltmeter set at 1 vdc to see if my car is going into close loop operation. This is on my VR4 tho...but I bet toyota's efi's with feedback control works the same way. ..
just hookup the +ve probe to the +ve side of 02 sensor and ground the -ve probe to the body

hey thanks for the help guys, but we split the computer and found the OX pin got the coresponding wire and tapped into that it seems to be working ok. we figured the OX would be the singal from to oxygen sensor.
