The injectors are earthed through the ECU.
So if the injectors have +12v, then either the ecu is not earthed well enough, or the ecu is fried.

First up, how did you measure a voltage at the injectOr?
That is weird...
Cruzida,
Dont you think that if the earth was bad on the ECU, you would get full time open circuit, not closed??? And on other things too other than just injector circuits???
What about a short in one of the injector wires? Do you think that could make it give a power reading? After writing it and thinking, i doubt it...

Injectors have constant +12v from one of the relays.
That has nothing to do with the ECU.

Thanx Cruz -
im still learning a lot.
I thought that the relay was triggered by the ECU, so that there is no power there when ignition is off. Then the injector makes a pulse when the ECU lets it earth out through it.
Can you tell me how it works then?

Relay is triggered by START or AFM signal.
That is the Circuit Opening Relay.
The EFI Main Relay is triggered by the ecu, and that powers the ecu itself.

Looking at the schematic, Cruz, your bad earth theory at E1 is not disproved then.
And if this earth wire from the ECU clip to the body on the other car was ok everything would run fine wouldn it
?

Or it could also be the ECU getting no STA signal....
If the ECU is good then it obviously has to be a wiring issue.
Check the earths, the ECU power (it has power when cranking), continuity between the injector wires and the ECU...
If you pull the diag codes from it the lack of STA signal should be throwing one.

It will still start without an STA signal.

Yeah, I was under that impression as well, but who knows...

If the injectors have been sitting around for a shile it's possible they've jammed-up.
Give them a gentle tap on the side with a small hammer to see if that helps.

ill give that a try, ill check all earths again
the diagnostic code is: one short flash-pause for 5 seconds-one short flash-pause for 5 seconds, i think it means system ok
ill try tapping injecters
i spent about 4 hours at it yesterday and my brain turned to mush
