what's the go with the 13T? a mate of mine also has one in a TA22 and we know little about it. I think it is just a veriation of the 1800 single cam 3T found in the T18's. anyone know the significance of the 13?

hmms - 13t is just the commercial badging for the 3t i believe - not that much difference - though if any it would be in head flow , compression rating and lower HP but not much
Nothing a nice set of carbs , a cam , and a remapped dizzy could fix to boost things a bit

Damn, beat me to it Mani.... Urs sounds good.
Mine is:
2TG with 3T crankshaft
High comp. pistons
Lightened and balanced flywheel
Stiffened suspension
Extractors and currently a 2.5 - 3 inch exhaust with a mother of a dump at its end (which will be changing to something smaller soon for rego )
Future changes may be working the 2TG a little harder. Trying realllly hard not to stray to a 4AG??

well for me - Ive got a 2tb - though most of the work bar the cam and tunings been done - porting , polishing , weber , extractors , forgies etc etc .. I think it may have had oversize pistons too - but not 100% sure - got a 3/4 racecam to go in at the end of this month / early feb - lumpier than a old matress !
im aiming to take a stab at a few benchmarks set by tinas 3tg hybrid - and if not able to beat hers - ill probably have one of the toughest 2t's in oz

hmmm. mine is getting new brakes (tommorrow), its got a chrome air cleaner (good for 5kw there ), and 14" corona rims - oops - almost forgot pacemaker headers and 2.25" exhaust (not drony, just nice)
monroe sensatracs and king springs ordered sunday should be in by the end of the week.
plans at this stage are for a nicely warmed over 2TG and complete respray - back to the original color. only other things after that are some nice 15" performance challengers.

ITS NOT A DEEP PURPLE ONE ?
theres apparently a show ta22 with fklared guards - 2tb - running supercharger out there somewhere = havent seen or heard of it for ages though
Had thought of running a modified 2tgeu intake on my 2tb - and running boost thru that - would be fun !
But if i go to that extent ill take the easy option and slot in a 3tgte ..
Oh well - a bit off that yet - Might have to put my big cash into the GT4 !

Well I've got a 73 TA22 with a warm 3T, Port, polish, cam, extractors with a inch and three quarter inch system, 32/36 weber, electronic ignintion and remaped dizzy, 14 inch thermo.
Stock rebuilt gearbox, C.I.G locker (fun fun fun), lowered with pedders springs and shocks, big whiteline sway bars (front and rear), and 14inch TA23 rims. Body wise its got its third coat of paint (a custom mix of the stock gold)and all the body badges removed. Interior is retrimed in black and grey velour, with a small SAAS stg wheel and a nice little audio system.
What its cost me? well its been close to a 10 year build so far, and I'd guess all up it might be in the vacinity of $8000 maybe. I haven't keep tabs on that, I've just enjoyed the ride.

Check out http://www.classic-celica.nl/jepege6/kenneth.jpg for some interesting mods on this Swedish celica. Actually the whole http://www.classic-celica.nl site is fantastic for 70's celica pics.
My TA22 has:
* A fuel injected 2t engine .
* A Turbo off a 2L Nissan .
* A fully overhauled 5 Speed box .
* Toyota Mags.
* Rear Spoiler off a Magna.
* Soon to have Bonnet scoop to cool the engine a bit more.
* Can keep up with a 6cyl EF Falcon.
* Sony Xplod sound system.
* Green Neon lights under body and behind grill (bite me if you think it is rice).
* Lowered front shocks.
* Customised intake system.
thats about all for now
will be buying a Gtech meter to test horse power will post soon.

I'VE SEEN IT!!! about 8 to 10 months ago in Braddon here in Canberra. One friday night i looked across the vast sea of modified cars (when Braddon was still good b4 the cops f@rked everything up) and there it was sitting in the servo. DArk purple with the fattest pumped guards you can put on a TA22 withought making it look gay. I ran up just as he was driving off, and managed to get a few words in. However at that time he waws just running a 2TG though i'm pretty sure, no supercharger. It was pretty damn tough though.
Anyway that's my story.
