hi. ive found some ta22 2t mounts for my 3tgte/ke30 conversion. do i need the rubber mounts with the stud on either side or the metal bracket that originally bolts onto the 2T engine block?

Yep, you will need the TA22 isolator blocks. Way back, we did the 3T thing into a Rolla. TA22 2T engine mount brackets were the go, with the TA22 isolation mounts.
