i think you should ask a more specific question..
the answers to the first ones are easy.
not easy, but not necessarily hard, and,
shiteloads..
how many different 4cyl engines have been made around the world?

the easy one that i know of are 3K's , 4k's i think that bolt straight in and i dont see why a 2T or 3T-c wouldnt go in with a small amount of work( could be wrong thow)

fit in a
2k (1100cc)
3k (1200cc)
4k (1300cc)
5k (1500cc)
7k (1800cc)
All bolt in jobs. Parts are all interchangeable except the 7k has a different bolt pattern on the head.
Either go 5k or a 4k with 3k head and cams, also a 5 speed box makes for more fun.

Regarding the 7K having wider skirt, are you talking about the area that the sump would bolt to on the block? Also with the sump, could you use a different k sump and oil pickup? Cheers,
Also do you mean that head bolt pattern is different or manifold bolt pattern??
Cheers !!

where the sump bolts on is supposed to be wider...
the crank throw is rather large compared to 4/5K so it seems resonable.. i would like to know for sure.. bt i don't have either engine with me
