Auto Transmission Fluid Flow? Tue, 04 October 2005 03:52 Go to next message
Hello All,

With a A341E or any Toyota Auto, which way does the fluid flow from the cooling pipes? Is it from the back outlet (near the tailshaft)) to the front, or is it from the front to the back? As I am figuring out which order should I put the transmission cooler

Cheers.

The pump is on the input shaft, so if I had to guess I'd say the fluid comes out the front of the transmission. Don't really know though.

Yep-the front one (also a bit higher on the trans) is the out pipe, and the rear, lower one is the return to the trans sump.
