20v injectors- 2 or 3 nozzles? Wed, 05 October 2005 02:35 Go to next message
I just removed the injectors from my silvertop 20v and they have four holes in the bottom of them. It looks like two of them (larger holes) are the fuel nozzles - I'm not sure what the other two holes are for?

However, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 20v injectors had 3 nozzles (one for each valve). These injectors have been removed before as No4 injector had two insulator washers under it Sad.

Does anyone know if 20v injectors normally have 2 or 3 nozzles (maybe my injectors are from something else??).

Regards,

Toby

Maybe some more information on your injector would make it able to work out the specs .

Here is a small list of some of the 4a injectors , you can find the specs of which one you have .

cc color ohms est hp test psi vehicle 4a engine type

213 beige 13.8 43 42
182 dark grey 2.0 36 37
250 green 13.8 50 42
200 pink 2.7 40 42
365 orange/red 2.9 70 36.3
250 violet 13.8 50 42

It's amazine how people think you can just swap injectors and everything will still run fine Rolling Eyes

the toyota injectors are not bosch units , there denso ones . The main problem would be bosch , ie european car don't use large cc injectors , one of the biggest at 351cc is a 550 maranello one , so that gives you a idea that your not going to get larger ones easy from them .

im not after bigger ones, what for, not like i have a turbo to feed extra air to burn all that fuel. i just want new ones, to replace them and i can get new bosch parts cheap. but if you say they dont make em then ill scrap that idea.
