k being of qld origin i find the laws down here very heavy handed for anything modified, in qld i could get away with a few things and nothing was said. now i live in sydney and im about to get a ae82 with a supercharger in it what sort of things should i make sure i have so i dont get done.

From memory most people charge around the $400 mark, and if you fail, it's around $50 for the next inspection.
Just make sure your brakes are up to scratch, everything is secured like battery and that, if it has a pod so that it's enclosed, and there's no rust anywhere that can undermine the safety of the car.
Pretty much just make sure the car is in top nick and there is 'nothing' they can really say is unsafe
