hi i was hunting around the wreckers today looking for a carby for my recently bought 73 ta22 as the one it has is not complete and the previous owner has used electrical wire to tie many parts of it in place . my question is however is it possible to use a carby of a 1600 hilux? as they look very simmillar and there are actually a few of them at the wreckers unlike celica engine bits.
any help would be great
David

hey mate i have a carby off a 2t here that was rebuilt not so long ago, you can have it for $50 with the filter, manifold etc.
also have a set of twin solex carbies on a manifold to bolt straight onto your motor which will give it a lot more kick, $200
im in brisbane too
cheers
wayne

wayne the solexes won't bolt to the 2T, the 2TG yes. if they're the twins from the 2TB, then they're aisin carbies buddy
