Wanted MA61 Front bolt on metal bumper.

After pulling off the bumper skin on the front of my MA61 i found this light weight aluminium bumper instead of the heavy metal one. I' prefer the metal one, if you'd like to drop some weight(at least 15kg's) and swap it bolts straight on.

Would be good for your circuit car Humble?

Anyone else? Please Crying or Very Sad

paul...

sound v. interesting...

so the whole front bumper assembly under the skin is alloy? does it still have that face of ~40mm foam separating the skin from the metal??

never taken the fron end apart. much of a pita?

am interested, 15kg up that end of the car is a big deal...

cheers
ed

Yes instead of it being that heavy black steel its aluminium square box that has the correct bolt holes to fit exactly. Its either a custom job or maybe thats what the smash repairers use after market.

Not too difficult to take the front off, you just need a quarter drive and 10mm tube socket and that makes it alot easier.
That foam piece sorta stays in the plactic cone and fits back over this aluminium bar so it stays the same.

I have been to every wrecker today in sydney, no one has the factory bumber i'm after. I'd really like to get one so i can have my car ready for the dyno day.
