...and that kids is why you don't drift on the street Wink

EDIT: I looked and couldn't see it on the forum, if it is a double post or old I don't care. As long as one person hasn't seen it.

Repost but damn funny, ah well that what you get for being a tool. Gotta love the horn that'd soon attract plenty of attention from ppl around the area.

And for the kiddies playing at home should you wanna replicate such actions go to this address:
Canterbury Sheetmetals
65 McAlpine St Sockburn Christchurch
Very Happy
Not that i condone drifting on the streets and anyone that attempts is a tool

Actually if you have a look he pretty much just rolls the car round the corner, then midcorner to pretty much exit he clutch kicks it in second and hence just loops it nine time out of ten. Also notice the WRX has a open rear diff which doesn't help at all.
With an open diff to drift you need momentum which he doesn't have. Wink

that car was shit. the turbo kicked too much which made it way to hard for that novice to control.

also, why would you convert a rex to rwd?

Cos you have an inbred hate for rear tailshafts. Cos you can then do fully sic dorifto Rolling Eyes . It's actually becoming more common and MRT sell a kit to do it, but kinda defeats the purpose of having the rex in the first place.

He could have gone out far more spectacularly. I wouldn't say he's a tool... He was just inexperienced I reckon. If I went out there I'd probably end up the same way. Laughing

thats what im talking about Laughing gives it too much stick on the exit
he almost seems like hes babying it going into the corner but i guess he didnt wanna wreck his precious modded wrx Laughing
when i first saw the vid i thought he broke his LSD/diff not that he just had an open diff (wrx owners drive too hard)

Looking at the guys ability to control the car and his crude methods to initiate the drift pulling the handbrakes is the last thing he should of done. Wink The only difference would of been he'd probably hit the tree/another pole side on brackets hurting himself or the passenger or arse first.

It happens though. If you're gonna go drifting you are gonna crash your car. There are no exceptions. You will eventualy crash.

That's how you gotta think when you go into it. If not, then you're just kidding yourself. And I wouldn't say that WRX looked the goods. To low, crappy rear tail lights. The rest was okay though.

Just read this on another forum, it's authenticity/accuracy are unknown so it may be BS, but funny anyhow:

NEW Zealand police caught up with street racers after footage of their activities was posted on the internet, including their vehicle's number plate.

The three-minute video of a modified Subaru racing up and down a suburban Christchurch street attracted complaints from around the world, The Press newspaper reported.

In the footage, the Impreza WRX performed 360-degree spins and burnouts before crashing into a tree.

At one point the car almost collided with another vehicle driving in the opposite direction.

"Members of the public recognised the street and police were able to track down the owner of the car through the registration seen on the internet and identified the driver through analysis of the film," Inspector Derek Erasmus told The Press.

James William White, 20, yesterday pleaded guilty in a Christchurch court to a charge of reckless driving.

He was sentenced to 120 hours community work and disqualified from driving for nine months.

White had denied posting the film on the internet.

Of course he didn't post the vid on the net, one of his mates probably did to make him look like a dick, and considering the person that gave me the address hadn't been to NZ for like 5 years recognised the street I wouldn't be surprised if the cops did to.
I also noticed the plates, its in one of the shots just as he drives off to do another run. Serves him right for being a knob.
