What To Do? Fri, 07 October 2005 01:21 Go to next message
Hey guys, my current turbos (Steel Wheel) are smokey when backing off, I belive its the seals. Now, they make 230rwkw, which is more than enough for me. I was looking into buying a T3G kit, but friends say, no point paying that much for not much extra power. I have been looking at Turbo single kits, but as its in an is200 (1jz) im worried of fitment. Should i just get these ones reco'd?

Im talking in a cost for cost thing, im not really after more power, just reliabilty, and what is better for the dollar. What does a reco usually cost?

As it stands tho, the car makes good power, and drives perfectly, but the smoke is really starting to shiet me.

Smokey 1J's seem to be a problem, I started a thread on this. Peopel have solved this problem a number of ways including different oil etc. mine was fixed through fitting a cat converter Smile do a search and read the thread, it may not be your turbos.
