Who do people know and trust with thier cars. I am pretty new to Sydney and wouldnt trust anyone in the business that wasnt recommened to me or someone I knew. I love me genuine toyota parts and always stipulate or get myself, however, want someone who knows what their doing when it comes to turbos and four wheel drives.
I know this topic was just posted but it didnt generate much attention and it will or may help others.

GT4 Rider,
My mechanic (also uncle)is quite good and ensist i use genuine parts all the time even though more expensive most of the time. Naturally i trust him.
He knows what he's doing when it comes to GT4's over the last three years ive given him plenty to do on my old ST185 and now ST205.

Could you please pass on his details. I would appreciate this. If you would prefer to private message me these details I understand. You wouldnt want people annoying the hell out of him that were not series about taking their car their in the first place.

In a way, i guess any publicity is good publicity. (this is where you'll find me on most given Saturdays)
Choice Automotive Repairs
33b Phillips Rd Kogarah 2217
(02) 9587 4896
Just let him know i sent you and he will look after you really well. Both on price and quality of service. If you think you you're picky about your car, then you'll understand what he's like about his work but 10 fold.
Luke (Bugman) got his clutch done in the Sherpa on Friday just gone for only $100 labour. Don't get me wrong it was a bit of a love job because he was next door doing the conversion of the 1G in his RA28 and is probably a price never to be repeated for the same type of job but it gives you and idea of how understanding and good natured they are.

I work at Bill Buckle Toyota in Brookvale. We only ever use genuine parts unless the customer is a tightass plus we have a couple of guys who are mechanics for Rally Australia so they know their turbos and 4wd's. Its a little pricier than other places but i've never seen a single car being thrashed there.
Not even the beautiful 22B we had in.

Today got my exhaust from the 1uz hooked up to my 3inch exhaust at Liverpool Exhaust. The guy there I knew from uni (didn't know he owned the place till I got there and asked to speak to the boss)
Ended up $220, which was EXACTLY what he quoted me (big thing!)
Was for twin pipes from the standard headers, one crossed under the gearbox and then joined into a 3in pipe and ran into the cat.
Was all mandrel bent, and flanges everywhere. Am very happy with the job (havn't started the car yet as its not running).

Rob,
Yeah I went to UWS. While there I had a TA23 Celica, Sprinter and a 924T. My last supra ('86 Maroon MA70) I *think* I bought once out of uni. I'll have to ask my GF, she'll know.
Yeah Chev runs livo exhausts. Was great to see a friendly face when I walked in, as I'm sick of shonky mechanics.
Were you in any of Chev's (and my) classes?
