I assume you are askink how mine is set up?
It is very simple and effective. I run a standard 4age running 8 pounds boost so it also runs quit high comp ratio.
The kit consists of a winscreen washer bottle and pump a Hob switch ( it is a boost activated swith ) hose going into the intake. The hob switch connects to an air line that registers boost. It can be adjusted to come on at what ever boost you deem fit ( mine comes on at 4 pounds )This in turn is connected to the washer pump and pumps water into the intake.I have heard of people preasurizing the bottle with another boost line so the pump pressur increases as the boost goes up but I havent needed to try that.
There is heated discussion on wether the water injection should be before the turbo or after ( some say that before will attomize the water alott more some say that it dammages the turbine) I just had my turbo rebuilt ( cos the oil seal went ) and the turbine was fine.
Now the tip that goes into the intake needs to be burnt flat to close the end then pin pricks need to be put along the hose evenly from the bottom to about 5cm up about 12 holes should do it; so when under pressure it will drip water out. Use a grommet to install it in line and thats it. I dont have a digital or a scanner so it is hard for me to send picks but I hope I have explained it for you.
You can run just water or a 50 50 mix of water methanol. You can also mix octane booster in.

A couple of weeks ago in tafe we were doing water injection in aircraft, & only real benifit of adding methanol is to stop the water from freezing at high altitudes. While it does provide heat energy when it burns water has a greater & more beneficial cooling effect.

interesting... im understanding the theory ect...what i'm not picturing is where you insert the hose on the intake...infront of the pletnium???? or can it go any where??? any one have pics of a set up (this is cool i really think i could use this!!!)

Infront of the throttle body's usually the way to go.

joel, methanol also has a lower boiling point, so it has a tendancy to evaporate in the intake faster, thus cooling the intake charge better than just water
cheers

I'm pretty sure water has a higher specific heat capacity than methanol, so wouldn't plain old water be better for cooling? Methanol may evaporate faster, but water will evaporate quick enough once it's compressed inside the combustion chamber!

Eva spilt methanol on your skin? Its freezing. Methanol does burn slower and kleener so in doing so wards off detonation.
Best place is anywere before the throttle body but U also want the water to attomize befor it reaches the plenum so you dont just have big globs of water.

Water absorbs more than twice the heat of Methyl alcahol when it evapourates, which it does at only moderately higher temps.
According to my tafe scribblings water water absorbs 970 BTU/lb at 212deg F, while methyl alc. does only 418 BTU/lb at 148deg F.
Methyl alc also provides 9000 btu/lb of heat when burned, while water produces none.

There has been lots of talk about this latley on the MegaSquirt mailing list.
One thing everyone has agreed on is that the water must be properly atomized. Dripping water in wont do squat.
Use a high pressure pump, and a propper atomizing head.
BTW... you can also spray water into the exst manifold before the turbo, it makes the turbo spool quicker.
