Well Dom, my best advice would be not to come across really desperate.. girls love the chase, well most girls anywho! With some girls, if THEY are getting chased then they take advantage of the situation, im not saying ALL do.. but some do. They like the attention but they also sometimes are like 'meh.. if he wants me then he'll be there tomorrow for me so i can go do whatever right now!'

ARGH! OH GOD! This just reminded me I'm single again, as of yesterday. I'm gonna stick to being heartbroken for a bit. Stave off having to actualy search for a new chick for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! Crazy bints.
I think a good method is to convince yourself that you're not really that interested. MAkes you more confidant, and chicks like that. Also, develop some good female friends that will go out with you, hug you and generaly be pretty phisical. Shows other chicks that you're safe. You can use these girls to break the ice with other groups of chicks too. Female friends are also good to network through. 
The reason chicks like guys who are taken, is that the groundwork is already there. They know that if you manage to get another chick, then you can't be all bad. While when they look at a single guy they go "okay, why is he single?". And yes, women have a 6th sense for this. They don't actualy have to see you with a partner for them to know you're taken. Also, having a chick makes you more confidant.
If all else fails, try the hit and miss method. Just get as many numbers as you can. Best done with some mates who'll cheer you on / join in on the picking up.

It's a catch 22. You have to know what you're doing when flirting, but you also have to avoid practicing. It's insane!

I will quite freely admit i am clueless when it comes to getting a gal - as much as I know and have observed about the ladies behaviour - I still don't understand them very well! I say just do whatever you want to do, and if it doesn't work then it wasn't meant to be...

Everyone on here has read a lot about girls on the intahnet and some have even sat beside one on a bus or stood behind one in a line.
