Here is Due work progress for everyone who is following the project .
Oh yeh the REAR suspension had been replace with new KAYABA Suspension - not sure if it GOod or BAd to wait till the Car is ready will know by then ,
i am Very please with the work progress - can do with a abit more speed .but i guess is getting along just fine at the right pace .

and updated some old photo i took last month which i posted in another forum .
still editing the photo i took yesterday and last week .
will post it up as soon as is done .
weather getting cold . amd the CAR is rusting
hm.... hope the car will be done soon -
wishful hope - 15 days
possible hope- 25 days
ideal hope - 35 days

It been Raing alot- i just got some RUst remover for my Car and will try it out in a few days time after i come back from Bangkok and malaysia , singapore.

The Floor panel is almost done and is 80 %
both the side rail had been replace - as well as the centre rail and chassis rail . i am thinking of installing ROll bar in the car for reenforcment of the bodu as it a old car .

the progress is picking up .

Finally the rain stop and it had progress to the Left panel .
i am thinking to install 16inches rim . i hope it will fit - and the disc brake would hold .

THE EXHUST IS 1.5" FROM THE GROUND ( 2 inches Spacer Added )GROUND CLEARANCE -4.5"

BOTH TIRE IS BARE ( just like F1 tire whahahhahahha )
NO Brake ( or rather almost no brake i wonder how i got it back )_ (new Brake cabel installed -12.10.2005 )

Been busy - huting for parts . found some parts and window panel . and parts of the RIght driver floor panel and side step hade been replace .

will try to find the front parking indicator as well as the lens .

THe process is not as fast as i expected
ONe of the craft man came to do some measurment

The celica had now been in the workshop for about 3 days
alot of work got to be Done , Today there just remove the Rear window panel reviewing alot of rust
After the Paint is remove , it show alot of Rust and injury part of the Car
I am still Hunting for alot of parts .

OK - how would i start , well i start his post hoping it will keep me interested and of cos at the same time share my Problem with Expert here

I just got a Celica - should be Ta22 ( i think ) cos is really Old and rusted
well if you asking me why i got it - my answer would be cos i in love with that Car - my idea of a sport car is a small 2 door car and this car fit all the spec so far .

My car - here some info i got - not sure if it useful
PURCHASE - 01-10-2005
Engine - 1G-GE
Disc Brake - Front , Rear
Body - Badly Rusted
Shock up -Rear- Left wheel - KONI Right wheel - unknown
Exhust - Recently change from Iron to Steel

TECH PROBLEM -
KNOCKING WHEN I SHIFT TO GEAR 2
INTERIO IS VERY HOT ( ASSUME AIR CON NOT WORKING
SERIOUSLY WORRYING THAT THE CAR OVERHEAT AND KA-BOOMMMMM
CAR SWAY TOWARD RIGHT WHEN I DRIVE IT
THE WHOLE CAR SHAKE AS IF IT FALLING APART WHEN I HIT 60KM

GOOD POINT -
LOVE THE ENGINE SOUND
IS RUN DOWN BUT IT GIVE ME HOPE
IS KINDA MY DREAM CAR ( LET MAKE IT SO )
IT WILL GIVE ME SOMETHING TO DO RATHER THEN WORK
MEET NEW FORUM AND FELLOW CELICA LOVER


Well this si what i can think of so far

THING i HAD done so far -
WHAT I DONE SO FAR

INSTALLED HAND BRAKE - 3 CABLE HAND BRAKE - I THINK IS TOO NEAR TO THE GEAR SHIFT - WONDER IF I CAN MOVE IT BACK OR BUT A SMALLER HAND BRAKE HANDLE

REPLACE THE OLD BRAKE PUMP WITH A LARGER ONE

REPLACE DICS BRAKE PAD

ADD SPACER TO FRONT AND REAR - 2 INCHES -

GROUD CLEARANCE NOW 3.5 INCHES

REPLACE THE OLD IRON EXHUST PIPE WITH STEEL ONE

ALL DONE ON 07-10-2005


The above is the listed problem so far i notice will keep you'll updated
if anyone have info on how to Fix those problem please let me know

I am really new to this and in fact this is my First Car
i will try to post some photo of the Car so you'll have a rough idea.

- I had talk to a friends here with a good workshop - and two workshop will work hand in hand to repair this car - one will handle the body while there other will handle the engine and electrical aspect .

- i took more photo today of the car and a few more shot of the Engine - will post it up later today - 1G-GE ??? 1G-FE ???
i was told is a 1G-GE some someone posted that it might be 1G-FE so i am confuse whahahhaha let try to find out

The advice so far had been great and useful - Thanks you'll so much - i hope within 1-2 days i can arrange the workshop and i will post the progress as offen as possible -
today i had took out the front seat and rear seat - and also bang on the rust on the back compartment .

All this advice is giving me hope that i can do it -
