AE82 with 100kw motor making 82kw atw?

Is this possible because i got my brother to dyno my car and he got a dyno reading of 82.5kw. It was at crydon auto.
Is this possible, is it uncommon? BTW mods= pod filter and exhaust. standard 1986 box.
Thanx,
Adam

um using a driveline loss of say 25% for a FWD car that would equate to 110kw at the flywheel so why are you concerned.

its just that i was looking at the records for under 1800NA a couple of dyno days ago and i was thinkn that they looked pretty low compared to my car making 82 i was like that cant be right.

so it's optimistic..
fwd losses are "supposed" to be around 15% anyway...
it's only a number

i can see the headline now "DYNO READS HIGHER POWER THAN CAR PUTS OUT"
thats a respectable figure, take it to the drag strip if you are concerned, i'd be quite happy if my smallport sprinter put out that power

great, your trap speed will give an indication of power.

That's about right for fwkw with a pod and exhaust...
Maybe a little tune up is needed

Yeah, I normally work with roughly 17% losses.
Yay, my car must make about the same at the wheels since I have a pod filter and manifold back exhaust
Thats a pretty healthy figure for a NA 1.6 A guy I know with a U12 Pintara is only making 84fwkw with a pod, exhaust and a stage 3 antrx chip, and thats out of a 2.4

hint for a tune up for a 4AGE..
tools 12mm spanner..
timing light..
providing your using 98 octane or the equivilent optimax/ultimate etc, have decent plugs (iridium etc) new dizzy cap/button, and the engine is in overall good condition..wind about 27 degrees advance into the base timing..don't forget to jump T1 (or TE1) and E1 with a small bit of wire, to disable the ecu retard/advance on idle.. you'll physically notice the difference!
if it pings a little back off a tiny bit..but 25-27 you should be pretty good
