hi
im lookin at doin a engine conversion in my ke70 at some stage in the future, maybe 4agze orca18det, my question is why do u need to change the pedal box when doin a conversion?
also how hard would it be to fit a ca18det into a ke70, in relation to speedo, tacho, oil and temp sensors etc etc. how hard do you think it would be?
thanx guys

I would say that when doing a conversion on a KE70 you would change the pedal box with one out of an AE71 so you can use a hydraulic clutch as is needed for some gearboxes (ie T50).

I'm not sure about CA18DET gearboxes. Try googleing .
If you fit an auto you'll need a pedal box out of an auto or you could probably just remove your clutch pedal. Don't know whether it would make a difference with engineering like that though.

Not too sure on how hard it is to get the pedal box out of a KE70 but I got the pedal box out of my KE30 by only removing the instrument cluster.
Time to play contortionist and crawl under the dash to have a look .

What "code" do you need?
You would be better off getting one from a wrecker.
I'd suggest doing a search too, to make sure the AE71 pedal box is a straight fit ( I believe they are but I'm not 100% sure, better to be safe than sorry )
