Latest from the CRAZY Witzl workbench - Lighting switch panel!

Well as some people know, i am currently working on restoring an old RA28 celica, and along the way have been adding some ridiculous "Witzl-isms". The latest of which is this switch panel below, designed to turn on and off a multitude of various lighting, neons, shift lights, accessories etc etc using relays, rather than direct swtiches so as to allow larger current draw.
Basically this panel has 6 switches, each having two "ON" positions and a centre "OFF" position. Each switch has an accompanying BI-colour LED which lights up green when the swtich is one way, and red when the switch is the other... like so:
And just so you can get an idea of why it has taken me a few weeks to finally finish this little prick off, here's an idea of the wiring behind the switches, and the relays that i used for this system.
So now you can begin to comprehend my insaity with cheap mods?

Jeez man, you're a psycho!
If that's how you install a row of little switches, I would hate to see you wire a whole engine!!!
Seriuosly though, that's sweet.

wiring an engine... this is different....
yeah i am crazy. But when there is something you want to achieve, sometimes the only way to achieve it is through insanity (ie, crazy electronics shit)
Its just cos i wanted those BI-Colour LED's really... without them it would be different im sure!

i think Luke got the idea JUST right there.... i am crazy. I work for Jaycar. Neons, CCFL's and EL wire cost me bugger all. I like playing with them. There are also a few "surprises" in store for the use of these controls. Some may call it rice, but i like having nice coloured lighting inside my car... beats boring old yellow stock globes that barely light up to see a piece of paper on the floor......
Oh... and i am crazy

One question... whats the DB9 and ribbon cable in the 2nd pic for?
Very cool anyway.
Hmmmm... i just need time and $$s to get my system going.
The grand plan is to design/build my own programmable efi & igniton controller then use a laptop and mount the LCD in the dash to replace the standard dials.

Didn't know you were that good at wiring, I wired up my alternator yesterday and it nearly killed me, I should've called for backup!

MWP- the D9 and ribbon cable is for the LED's themselves. Since they only draw around 20mA, its fine to use that stuff, and the D9 is the neatest connector to use to connect ribbon cable, esp when you get IDC D9 connectors (oh the lazyness!!)
Pete- took me around 2-3 weeks of piss-farting around drawing diagrams, schematics, testing, fucking up, buying parts, forgetting to get the parts, not sleeping some nights etc etc...
wasnt really that bad, just lots of fiddly soldering, which can be rather annoying at times....
Anthony- shhh you!!
Luke - i want PICTURES!!!!
