Yes - a friend of mine put a silvertop into a Mini a few years ago. Though it was a track-only sports sedan.

I actually saw that mini with the greeny engine bay when I made the mistake of getting the same "engineering" (I use the term as loosely as possible - the place is a joke) shop to do some work on one of my cars.
The mini in question had some front end damage when I saw it. They had to change so much of the front end I would love to know how they got it engineered. The moral is the engine fitted - but not very well IMO.

Saw this done back in the early 90's. Used the entire driveline, made the wheels stick outside the guards completely.
Was used on the circui only but if you cut down the drivce shafts I don't see why it'd not be registerable.

Ive been desperate to buy the bike engined mini kit for a long time, i was fortunate enough to get a go in one when i was in the uk and if you really want a fast mini then this is the way to go!!! not sure about trying to register the thing in Australia though, dont know if it would count as a privately built vehicle!

Proof you can fit nearly anything into a Mini. Whether this is a remotely good idea on the other hand ....
