Yes it's the one off Maybach Excelero used for tyre testing by Fulda Tyres i think. 8 million dollar car, its at the sydney motorshow now. I saw it in the pits on the saturday then on race morning they had it lapping the track fairly slowly, its fucking huge.

hehe i knew some sprinter owners would liek ti so i took the pic, shame the car was in the window and kinda closed off and with a minum zoom of 90mm (pretty big) it made it hard to get a good pic of the car, the specs sheet however piss easy.

Tis a Canon EOS 3000N (base model) Film slr cost a whole 350 bucks a couple years back and combined with a genuine canon 90-300mm lens its pretty good. Depending on how much i spend on a new car i'll be looking at upgrading to a 350D digital SLR next year.
It's a great camera for beginners and shits on my brothers and sister's pentax camera which are worth more for reaction time ie delay between pressing ze button and a photo being taken.
As I get better I am slowly using more and more features and getting better results, recent drift days in light have been pretty good.
As for the 4age in the sprinter it was raced befor the small port engine existed so i can only assume its a very heavily worked bigport motor. Bonnet was closed so no details on whether it ran quads or not. But fyi there fastest laps around bathurst were around 2:34...
555 profile tyres sweet bit of a misprint.

Corona, you are such a Bathurst SLUT !
I see you got around pretty much the entire mountain - did you make it as far as the esses and forrest elbow? Hike city . . . I'll drag the pics I took outta my mates' cameras sooner or later - heaps of good pics with inside-front air over the crest at Reid/Sulman park. We spent a large portion of our time in the pits ogling the "Elf" girls too. Check it:
Yeah!

Made it round to the esses and forest elbow on moday morning when we did a lap of the track . Unfortunately on the saturday when we we're up the top it was muddy as all hell and we needed to get to the bottom so my mate could go to the HRT club one signing session. Wasn't much happening anyway as most of the races at the time lasted about a lap then the safety car came out and thats how it ended.
So i spent the time in the pits having a gander at the Miss V8 supercar comp and also just having a look at some of the cars.
As for the Elf girls, indeed they were fine, probably the best promo girls there some of the others ie cars guide girls we're down right wrong.
Yeah i got heap of pics from reid park too, my mate got more i'll get him to give me a copy of them and throw the best ones up.

I spent most of saturday morning trudging around the chase, with an inch-thick helping of mud clinging to my shoes. Like you said, I don't think I saw more than 4 laps in a row of racing saturday arvo. The freakin Konica's were delayed by like 25 minutes, and the Lotus cup race was like, 1 lap ! ! !

Inside of the chase lol, i was there all bar saturday morning pretty much when the racing was on. And yes the mud in there was shocking especially walking from the pits to the chase .
Layers of mud on the shoes and some how some made it on to my jeans.
