blocked fuel pickup in tank??

hey.
Just wondering if anyone has had any troubles with there fuel pickups on there ta23's.
Mine seems to get blocked on occasions which is really anoying.
I have drained the fuel tank and flushed it many times but it still plays up on me.
If i blow back thru the fuel line and re-connect it up it will go again. There is some resistance to start with but it seems to free up after my face has gone red from blowing.
Im thinking there is a rag or somthing floating around in the fuel tank that occasionally gets sucked over the pickup strainer.
What do u think?

rag seems unlikely.
but just a note. when you blow through a fuel line full of fuel it will be hard to do up until all the fuel has blown through the other end then it will suddenly get easy, maybe this is what your feeling when the resistance drops after blowing through it?

True.
Tho when the car stops(due to lack of fuel) the filter on the line is empty(its clear). When i blow watever fuel is left in the line back to the tank the fuel naturally dribbles back down the line and leaks out until i reconnect it. It wont naturally dribble down when the car has stopped due to fuel starv.
I have blown down the fuel line with compressed air.
I havent ever drained a fuel tank before so iv got no comparison to the amount of gunk that may come out. Id say there was a bit but not a great deal.

cars not converted to efi is it?
maybe take out the tank and clean it out. there shouldnt be much gunk in there at all. give it a good flush with petrol and put it back in if your worried about it, atleast that way you can canel out any problems from the tank.
