Engine mounts for a 20v 4age Tue, 18 October 2005 02:23 Go to next message
I have a 20v in a AE82 corolla and i need to replace some of the engine mounts becasue they are worn/cracked. just wondering if they should be normal AE82 corolla mounts or (AE101?) 20v mounts?

also does anyone have an opinion on what is better: original or after market mounts?

Thanks. Razz

they would be ae82 mounts, TRD ones would be better than standard ones, but probably not worth the extra money unless ur using it as a track car or the like.

the front gearbox mount on my AE82 20v broke and i re-uesd it but I did the bolt up to a stupidly high torque with a long breaker bar and it seems to be holding together.

if anyone is interested:
Parts warehouse in Penrith (ph: 1300 PART 60) is getting them for me for $275.00 for all four. Very good price, so they get a free plug. I rang heaps of places and this was the best price. Cool

you do realise that TRD engine mounts are exactly the same as normal genuine toyota mounts, with a TRD sticker on them, right? Wink
