i remember in an issue of hot4s they discussed this and said that it will work as the 4agze has a unique feature which alows it to stop when the cluth is in or something allong those lines

i've heard a commodore v6 with a SC14 and a BOV, it didn't sound like a normal BOV, it sounded like a whip crack (ie. a very short sharp sound, not a pssshhhh). I think it's because the boost from the supercharger cuts instantly when the clutch turns off and there is not much boost for the BOV to vent, thus the short sharp sound. With a turbo the psssshhhh noise is because the turbo is still pumping large amounts of air for a short time after the throttle closes, whereas the supercharger stops pumping instantly. I think?

No it doesn't benefit your engine, there was a thread about this about 3weeks ago so do a search. This is the main reason why it's of no use:

"the reason why a BOV is of no use on a 4agze is that the s/c is in a vacum as it's placed after the TB, so there is no pressure to bleed off when the throttle is closed like on a turbo set-up. so a BOV will suck air in when the TB is closed on a 4agze.
the s/c doesnt disengage directly when the TB is closed either, the ECU actualy leaves it on a little after the TB is first closed"

So all it's gonna do is suckshit into the engine...

EDIT: I think Rigoli's would know what they're talking about considering they do build som very awesome cars Wink

you... have.. no... idea.....

if throttle is before SC (ala toyota).... there is nothing to vent.

if throttle is after SC, but SC clutch disengages when you stop accelerating.. there is nothing to vent.

if throttle is after SC and SC doesn't disengage, BOV will vent ALL THE TIME, except for 100% WOT... and that is a different system altogether.

on a toyota it will become a BIV (breathe in valve), ie SC is off, throttle is closed, and air gets sucked in thru BIV. which defeats the purpose of having a throttle in the first place..

and i have no idea whay i even bothered to post.. more fool me huh Rolling Eyes
