Fuel lines 2 returns?

MA70 supra, one pressure line for sure going in, and wired up by Pirtek today to the 4L. There are two lines that are very similar (size & both have hose clamps instead of high pressure lines). The guys there said there may be either two return lines (I don't know why) and then one of them thought it was a carbon something or another, something to do with vapourlock or the fuel tank giving out gasses when the pressure gets too high and this thing cleans it. Supposedly it should be attached to a little black cylinder about the size of a coke can. The hose looks like it could connect to something on my heater switch (on the firewall next to brake junction box).
Looks very standard, and looks like it came with the car.
What is it?
fyi: I took my car to pirtek on trailer and the 2 guys there worked for about 3 hours on it (were mucking round a lot of the time, or at least joking around), only charged me for 2 hours labour (@ $60 an hour!) and the lines they gave me were absolutely top notch. Lines were 2 oil lines to remote oil filter, and the pressure fuel hose. Also did a connector on my clutch hydrolic line. Came to a total of just over $330. Which is resonable I thought.

you'd be talking about the plastic charcoal canister can.. normally round in older car, the supra one is a rectangular cube. and found near the heater valve.
it isnt high pressure as it is just a pressure relief for the fuel tank etc.. the top hose should be connected to the throttle body.

Love these quick answers! Thanks Luke.
I don't know if I've got a square canister at all, I think this pipe was just tucked in behind the heater valve.
Next question:
Do I NEED to plug it in??

I'll see if I was running one before, don't think I was. If I wasn't then I won't worry about it (unless it doesn't get through the engineers).
My clutch hose is braided too, but thats only because the slave cylinder is inside the belhousing, and the clutch is worth 6 grand

Don't know about the square cube?
My MA70 has the plain round one like all other Supras I've seen.
Near heater tap close to bonnet hinge.

I would have to agree that one of the lines would be a charcoal canister line, i dont know what happned to the 1 on my ra23 the line goes into the engine bay and is plugges. Go figure. The car runs fine so id say you really dont need it, only for emissions

I plugged the line from the fuel tank into the canister and then just dummy lined the two other lines from the canister down and out past the fuel lines.
So canister is still there, and looks plugged in. Will be good.
