GUYS...
Does anyone know what result i would get with the following mods

ae101 gze
FMIC
2.5" exahust
nevo pulley
adj cam gears
bigport cams

Would the standard ecu be able to handle it throughout the rev range?

or do u think an aftermarket ecu is a must.

thanks

firstly search

second how big is you i/c going to be are you just front mounting the stocker

thirdly which size nevo pulley

why bother with adjustable cam gears and bigport cams

get a decent aftermarket ecu and you will get greater benefit. The stock ecu will handle the power no worries

Yeah dude.. i have been searching..and noticed people are using the bigport cams in their ze to gain some more
midrange torque.ive already got the cam gears and bigport cams arnt hard to find cheaply.

i have a big Trust intercooler in the front, 175mm nevo..

Sorry maybe i asked the wrong question

Will my standard ecu be able to supply enough fuel and not lean out at high revs and start cutting out.

i hear the standard ecu can only supply enough fuel for about 220hp. (im assuming thats at the engine)
i duno what that is in kw at the wheels

i know a aftermarket ecu would be better but right now i dont have the funds for a new ecu

pleanty of people are using stock ecu's with 175mm nevo peulleys the stock ecu's run extremley rich so there is good gains if you switch to aftermarket. Best way to see if the ecu will cope is stick it on the dyno. Its not allways the ecu that makes it run lean could be buggered fuel pump block fuel filter etc

yeah sounds about right..

i was just thinking , is it worth me getting the big port cams in and get it timed with the adj cam gears with a stock ecu.

i was just worried the standard ecu would sh#t itself.

im going to get some and try it...

i just rebuilt my gze so lets see what i pull up on the dyno..

probably wont get the best from them on the stock ecu but the ecu should be allright with the cams ive seen people using trd 272 cams on a stock gze ecu and it still ran ok.
Might be worth looking at a piggyback soloution like a greddy emanage they are about $500 i think and with 200-300 worth of tuning should make the most of your cams/gears

im very interested in knowing what the result was like.

big trust front mount? how big is big? if it's any bigger than 420x240x70 you have selected a core that is too big, and prolly loosing power/boost becase of it..is it a bar and plate or a tube and fin? if it's in an AE86 i'd be geussing it would make around 115-120RWKW.. mine spun 104RWKW with my front mount setup, and exhaust..ran 13.9 @98mph..so its pretty consistant with it's dyno read out..approx 200hp A flywheel..that was on the stock 10.44 PSI..
