The're a good pad with heaps of bit, I use 300ZX Capliers in the rally car and the stopping power with the EBC are undescribable

i can't wait to fit the pads... the main reason i posted this thread is for all those who have the Hilux 4WD calipers in their car, celica's or whatever... just sharing the info of how may different pads fit!!! and all of rice boy "performance" cars, so there will never be a shortage of an option when race pads are under consideration...

Can you let me know how they fit mate? And are all of those ones that u say are the same, are they actually the same pad, or just a similar pad that should fit?
Because im thinking i'll need slightly thinner pads so they fit in there.
Are you using the pug. vented rotors aswell? Because i know on my RA23, i struggled to put the standard hilux pads back in because they were so fat they rubbed on the rotor, and they were the pads that came with the calipers so they were already worn a bit i spose!!

the pads went in today!!! hehehe, i'm pretty sure that they are not bedded in yet, but even still, oh what a difference they make... i've only had the chance to drive home from work in peak hour traffic, and already i can notice that they bit a lot harder than the OE hilux pads...
Dylo...
yes i'm using the vented pug 604 discs and i have not had a problem with the pads fitting... as for the GTO pads, well they almost fit... a few little mods carried out on the bench grinder assured that they now fit fine... the outer pads drop right in with no concerns... it is the inner pads that required the work...
the inner pads have a central mounted pad depth indicator that fits if you want to leave it there, i think thses are a dicky idea so i pissed them off... the areas that required mods was the lower corners of the pads cos they foul on the caliper mount on the strut... this does not allow them to drop in deep enough. but with some careful reshaping using a grinder, and minimal removal of pad area, the pads fit nicely...
as for pad thickness, the EBC pads are quite a bit thinnner than OE hilux pads... before i fitted them i measured that the pad height off the backing plates was 8mm, sorry i did not measure the actual thickness of the backing plates... maybe your problems could be related to what caliper you actually have, are you sure they are LN106 calipers??
anyway, once they are bed in and i have a chance to give them a work out, i'll let you know again how they go...
if anyone is interested, chack out some of my pics here:

Thanx for the info Dorikin, and nice website too.
Yeah i've got the same calipers and discs, so it should be good once i get a set of these pads. Can i ask how much they set u back for a front set?
Also where did u get your front strut brace from? Do they make them for RA23's aswell? And what are they worth too????

Dylo...
The EBC greenstuff V4s from the Mitsubishi GTO cost me $217, but that is the trade price... RRP is $220+GST
with more kays on the pads they are beginning to bed in very nicely... EBC describe the pads as needing no warm up to work, but i do notice a nice increase in their performance after a few stops in normal traffic (but that suits me as the engine is cold too and no high speeds on a cold engine thakyou)...
The strut brace i made myself... the end plates are 6mm plate alloy that were laser cut to my dimentions... the bar is just a piece of ssteel rod drilled and threaded at each end, and there are rose joints to tie it all together (don't forget bolts/nuts)... to make one identical i don't know exactly the costs, cos again i payed trade for the parts... but as a guess i'll give you a ball park figure... alloy plates $60(including material) ssteel bar $20 rose joints up to $50each depending where you go and what size you choose (again i can't help with RRP cos i payed $40 for the pair, but i noticed that the RRP was around $45 each) and for the bolts i chose ssteel again and used two bolts with nuts between ball and alloy plate and a second locking nut on each rose joint where it screws into the ssteel bar (about $20 - ssteel bolts that size aren't cheap!!!) i'll try to get around to taking some close up pics and post them too on my site
good luck...
