1UZ starter wiring

Almost finished wiring, did alternator today and some other stuff.
The starter motor I don't know what I'm doing. The big main cable goes to hard positive, and there are about 4 other wires on that bit of the loom.
Some of them may be for the knock sensors? or for the air-con?
Which do I need to wire up to the starter key?
Second part of question:
Where do I wire it to in a MA70 Supra. I don't know which plug it used to come from. Theres a plug there that has 6 connections on it, but only 4 are used. And there are two lots of two wire cables.
Keep in mind, new engine doesn't have air-con. Chassy does.

Hi,
I know its been awhile since you posted about how to wire the starter in. I'm sure by now you have worked it out. Can you tell me what wire goes where. My 1UZ is in and i can only find the main bat+ that gos to the battery and i guess there is another one that goes to the engine. but whats the colour of the other wire/s and where do they go?
Thanks
cya

The mullet meter is your friend, and will find out what wires do
Having said that, my vague and hazy memory tells me that the last 1UZ I saw had the starter solonoid wire taped to the side of the main power cable. I may be wrong though!

I assume you are installing the 1UZ into some conversion project? In that case find the car's original solenoid activation wire (usually a larger guage black wire with a single female spade clip on it for Toyotas), and run that wire to the starter solenoid - that way you use the car's original starter system, and elimiante the need for any wiring mods.
