Compression test 3S-GTE - What compression? Sun, 23 October 2005 01:06 Go to next message
Ran a compression test on my 3S-GTE with forged pistons. The car was luke warm at the time (had been stopped for a good hour or two before the process began, spark plugs were quite warm still but able to be touched with hands).

Got 150psi in each cylinder, this sound about right or a bit low?

meh as long as there wasnt a huge drop ie more than about 10psi per cylinder that;ll be ok. so if all 4 were 150 then thats cool.

for comparision my 3sgte is 190 across all 4. from a '90 mr2

cheers,
