You have your self there a Auto throtle position sensor, the extra wire are to tell the tranny when to kick down ect. I have a manual one, I will check in the morning the colour of the wires at least that way you will know which ones you don't need.

Actually now that I've looked at the pictures you posted, the blue covered one are for the auto, just hook up the wire that plug directly in to the TPS and you are on your way

Yeah the flying lead is a Variable resistor type arrangement for the auto trans, the plug attached is for the ecu, I think it has 2 switches, one (opens or closes - I can't remember) when the throttle is off idle, and one opens/closes at WOT. I think it's mainly for the accel enrichment, cause my VL runs fine without them plugged in...

excellent, thanks... looks like i might use the variable output for my ecu input will make tuning the ITBs all that bit easier
as for the WOT switch - i certainly have plans for that
