3S trouble Sat, 11 January 2003 03:02 Go to next message
I've been trying to run the engine in my half cut but seem to be having trouble!
The thing I have noticed is the 2 thermo fans on the radiator are running all the time! Anyone have any idea why this is? Where is the water temp sensor located?

Thanks.

Ive only got access to ST185 diagrams which are differnet.
If the water temp sensor in the radiator isnt plugged in it will trigger the fans to run always, also the one near the distributor in the elbow.

Also thats your O2 sensor it plugs in to the top of your dump pipe from the turbo, it should plug in to the loom off of the alternator around that area, well it will only fit in 1 plug so find it! There is also an EGT warning sensor further down.

Hey there,

I don't know if these are any use but I have 2 wiring diagrams, one is the Chassis elec. system, and is relativly detaled. It includes charging system, radiator fans, condencer fans, a/c, cooler, heater, wipers, washers, horn, indicators & hazard lights. I also have one very detailed a/c & heater diagram.

Both are from 1986-1989 I think, and include 2S-E, 3S-FE, 3S-GE, & some 3S-GTE engine's.

If you think that they will be any use msg me back with your address and I'll copy them and send some off to you (by copy I mean old style paper photocopyer!!!).

Cheers
Nigel

These are Celica wiring diagrams.... I guess that they are different from MR2's. If you have a rear cut from a MR2 I don't know hom much use they would be.

Me again.
