unless you have a fast idle actuator or anything operating....basically a warm motor at normal idle, most cars should hover around 20 regardless of engine type....

so do u think 16-18 is too low? if so what affects the vac readings? besides leaks

if its at normal idle speed for that motor then the only real cause could ve a vac leak....

unless your compression is shot...

My 4AGZE with standard cams & cam timing was about 22mmHg.
With 267 cams and on current setting it pulls about 20mmHg - basically has a 'stock' idle.
