what flywheel for manual 1UZ?

i just got a 1UZ without a gearbox, so rather than sourcing an auto and forking out lots of money to get it and ship it, i'm converting it. from what i've been told, a later model hilux(2.8d) might fit, of course i'll have modify it for the ring gear.
anybody know of any that will fit, keeping in mind that i'm gonna need to use a heavy duty clutch like a hilux one.
also, which model comes with the rear sump?
the motor i got says ls400 on the computer, and one of the loom plugs are cut, assumably the loom to the auto computer, suggesting it is an ls400 motor, but i thought they were the models with rear sump!?
any help greatly appreciated, oh and anybody in tassie got a w58 g/box?

well u must have super human talents then hehe
not many people know what the fluywheel is
they usually get one in the kit supplied
and i think it is usually custom made
i think u have to remove the ring gear of the flew plate and fit it to the flywheel these guys supply with the bell housing kit

it's not that hard, the hardest part is the measurements!
by the way, has anybody got any measurements of an auto box?

As sideshow said, its about $2000 to convert to manual.
$500 for gearbox
$500 for bellhousing
$500 for clutch
$500 for flywheel
(give or take $100 per item, depending on what you get).
afaik NOTHING fits straight up.
Its all custom.
If you wish to modify/redrill another flywheel, then you are an idiot.
There are at least 4 places I know of that do custom flywheels.
Search Toymods, its all out there.

Oh, and having an ECU plug cut is bad.
The ecu controls the auto and the motor, so you'll need all the plugs.

i think the loom on an ls400 has 3 plugs on the enigne main loom
and the 4th plug goes thru the dash and to other sections on the car and also to the auto gbox
unless u have the wiring lom and u can see the cut wires
but from past experiences there is always an extra plug that goes to the dash section and not the eninge harness
i have a made up ls400 loom here i can check to see how it all goes

thanks, sideshow, that'll help.
it's got all the plugs, except the one that doesn't appear to have been from the motor is cut. if you could tell me which colours go where i'd be able to trick the motor or something.
and for your information cruzsida, i've found a flywheel that fits so get stuffed!!
i've already got the clutch, so i'm half way already.
