speed meter?

ne one got any idea if I can fit a speed meter into a standard Aussie spec AE86 without mods like a pulse generator (or whatever they call)?
so basically what I am asking is that can i use the wire that goes into the dashboard as a speedo cable?
and also the tacho cable?

im pretty sure you will find that you dont have a tacho cable, the tacho runs of the negetive side of the ignition coils and sends pulses, so no cable is needed.
