I used Mobil 1 for about 3 years in my 4AGTE and now use HPR10. On a fresh engine with the clearances all in order I would imagine that Mobil 1 would be fine.

Using the Mobil 1 or whatever you choose is for after you have run it in though Wink

yep its done oiver 1000kms nows so i guess its run in now.

I read and hear people using this type and that type of oil but what i really want to hear is a reason they are using this oil not just because everyone else is using it and its synthetic its good.

so far ive hear people using

gtx3
mobil 1
hpr15
hpr10

Ah ok,

Well I used Mobil 1 becuase I read and heard that it is a good product. Seemed fine, the hardest workout it ever got was track days and I had no problems.

I use HPR10 because my tuner recommended it and it's cheaper than Mobil 1 which is a good thing when oil changes are done quite regularly Wink The only noticeable difference between HPR10 and mobil 1 that I notice is quieter start up with the HPR10.

My thought on this topic is that very few of us will ever keep an engine long enough to know if oil x or oil y minimised wear. Regular oil changes will be more beneficial than using a particular brand.

Use one of the major brands in the correct weight, change it regularly along with your filter and I don't think you can go wrong Wink

What weight is the 4AGZE meant to use as stated in the factory manual?

I totally agree with you..i guess it comes down to personal choice and what you can afford.Regular changes is probly the most important thing.

if anyone has the stated weight a 4agze should be out of factory it would great be appreciated..
