Monitoring intake temps. Wed, 26 October 2005 11:41 Go to next message
I was pondering a way to cheaply monitor my intake temps, and came across LCD double display units for PC's.

I was thinking that this would be handy, one probe for intake temp, and one for near the air filter/before the intercooler.

I mean, $23 delivered, you couldn't find a kit cheaper?

What i'm worried about though is whether the normal range for CPU's is acceptable for use within a car, and whether there will be any problem extending the probes if it were to be in the cabin.

Cheers, Matt

Temperatures in computers go from 0-100 so I am guessing it would be the same. I am useing one made for the car that has battery voltage and stuff from jaycar. Was $40 i think.
