im starting my conversion i havent really had time to organise a hoist to pull out my old engine so if anyone in the hills district wants a case of beer drop one off to my place on tuesday and pick it up that arvo.

theres some ideas floating around on here, in regard to improvised engine hoists.
there was a pic of a tree, with some rope used to transplant an engine.

If you were in brisbane I would lend you mine, I went out and bought one for $200 after seeing what they cost to hire

Dom... Hare and Forbes in parra have em for $260. That's where i'll be getting mine from after i recoup from the purchase of my new turbo. You can also check out Ebay but the shipping adds about $60 (they're all in adelaide or melb for some reason  )

dom I have one that you can borrow but I have no way of getting it to you. It doesn't fit in the boot of my KE20 to well.

i work at trade tools direct we sell em for 250 buck for the hoist and a engine stand.

Lol the tree/garage beam one was mine, good that I'm getting known for my dodgyness
$10 worth of chain, a block and tackle $15, then whatever you can find to strap it around

a tool place quoted me liek 150 for a block and tackle
i dont even know wat it is i dont care either im borrow grants one so im happy.
