Same happened to mine, they mustn't be very strong, it just sheered through exactly like a tin opener as you say. The car started crabbing after a gear change so i got under there and found that! [Report message to a moderator]

mx83's always crack .... even with the 7mge's. My mate robbo welded up his stock mx83 diff crossmember the other day. Check for hairline cracks every 1000km's or everytime ur under the car. Luke [Report message to a moderator]

i got meself another ccrossmember and in the process of getting it reinforced hoping not to havve the problem again mine as soon as some power started loading the whole car was suttering like it was aboout to break apart felt horrible...oh i guess my r/c monster truck has to wait a few morre weeks [Report message to a moderator]
