1984 ma61 supra
august 2006 rego
around 290000 on the tach
engine has about 40000 (2years) on it since brand new build
around 250hp
late model w58 box
recent acrylic paint job... lots of paint, lots of clear - polishes up damn fine Nod
no power steering or aircon (heater still connected)
new radiator
brand new 15% tint all round
215's on all fours with heaps of tread. i know theyre probably a little skinny for the supra (225 stock) but i had plans for other rims and didnt want to waste money on tyres in the meantime)
kings lows on monroe shocks
will be sold with standard steering wheel
all mechanical paperwork legal and up to date with the RTA and ins company- no engineers cert req (15% capacity NA engine)

currently interior fitted with sparco race seat (not engineered) and has stripped rear with black gravel coat protection - am happy to sell with race seat and stripped rear interior as is, or i can reassemble some back seats and install a stock set of front seats. your call - same price for either option... obviously id prefer to just sell it as it is though.

if i cant be assed reinstalling everything - i do have all the bits so you can just take it all and do it at your leisure. few spares, come and have a look and have a chat about whats available.

and feel free to ask around - the car is known to punch it out pretty hard Rolling Eyes Very Happy

will consider SERIOUS offers, and will be happy to completely ignore tyre kickers. I think $6.5k is a pretty reasonable place to start...

mob: 0409603238

cheers
ed

That's a nice engine you're selling there and the free car it comes with looks pretty good too! Wink

What kind of Soarer are you looking for? I have a JZZ30 that I'm trying to get rid of. Would you be interested in some sort of a swap?

pm replied!

as for the fuelling/ign issue - no never really sorted it. its only an issue at the very very top of WOT... as if the TPS gets right to the end and trips something in the ecu, and it goes fucking stupid Confused

i never pursued it further as if you just use the pedal in the 98% range where it does work just fine, she frickin hauls ass with great af ratios etc, and never misses a beat. for the time and $ to find and fix that last 2% on a stock ecu - just wasnt worth it (plus that last 2% is a bit of a mission to actually get - and requires a pretty heavy push on the pedal deep into the carpet)

cheers

although - i have been thinking about it lately for some reason, and it occured to me that just maybe, its a case that at that very WOT thing, the ecu winds up the timing and dumps extra fuel - but its possible that the stock fuel pump just isnt keep up with the fuel delivery requirement at this moment, and that where the problem lies...

not sure, but seems like a reasonable guess
