You have a 1G-FE and a T50

Agreed and seconded! It's a TA22 T50 too - can tell by the shifter position on the box.

Why would you put a T50 behind a 1g-fe?? Or am I missing the point?

wasnt it confirmed about 5 times in your other thread that it was a 1GFE?
Gleno28 wrote on Wed, 12 October 2005 10:18 | Engine looks like a 1G-FE cause it's too thin to be a GE and has different cam covers.
Cheers
Glen.

and regarding engine, im not fully 'up to scratch' wif this. but it looks to me to be a 1gfe

As for the engine i would guess that it is a 1GFE motor. please note i have never seen a 1GFE however it doesnt look like any if the 1GGE's i have seen and it has very similar cam covers/head construction to a 4AFE which is essentially a 4 cylinder version of this engine.

if you eva decide to give up i would be interested in buying your bonnet vents and rear vents.
laterdays and good luck

Good luck. That is a lot of work ahead of you there.

bah, dont believe these jokers, just because a descision is unanimous doesn't make it right.
i think its a 2JZGTE, or a 1UZFE, not a pedestrian 1GGFE.

Because it came with the car, bolts up, was free, didn't require any crossmember/shifter mods etc etc.
Need I go on?

In case you didn't notice, Osix is located in Singapore.
Osix, there won't be much info on the 1GFE out there. Don't worry about the fact the Yanks don't know about it - if it's not a twojayzee they don't care....
The T50 will be fine behind the 1GFE. Even better, it bolts up, comes for free and fits in the transmission tunnel.
